Brigadier General Daniel Shipley graduated from the Virginia Military Institute and was commissioned in 1992. He was designated a Naval Aviator and completed training in the F/A-18 Hornet in 1996.

Brigadier General Shipley served in several F/A-18 squadrons to include: VMFA(AW) 332 during Operation ALLIED FORCE while deployed to Hungary, VMFA 323 aboard USS CONSTELLATION (CV 64) during Operation IRAQI FREEDOM; the U.S. Navy Flight Demonstration Team (Blue Angels) and VMFA(AW) 225. He commanded VMFA 232 during Operation ENDURING FREEDOM 10.2 in 2010 while deployed to Kandahar, Afghanistan. He also commanded Marine Aircraft Group 12 (MAG 12) in Iwakuni, Japan.

His staff billets include the Tactical Air (TACAIR) Plans Officer in the Aviation Department, Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), Aide-de-Camp for the Commanding General of Marine Corps Combat Development Command, Deputy Director for Program Analysis and Evaluation in the Programs and Resources Department, HQMC, Director for Manpower Plans and Policy at Manpower and Reserve Affairs, HQMC, and Assistant Deputy Commandant for Programs, Programs and Resources Department, HQMC.

His joint assignments include service in the Joint Staff Strategic Plans Directorate (J5), the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office, and as Deputy Director for Operations in the Joint Staff Operations Directorate (J3).

Brigadier General Shipley is a graduate of the Weapons and Tactics Instructor Course, the Marine Division Tactics Course, Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and the National War College. He earned master’s degrees in Military Studies, and in National Security Strategy.

Brigadier General Shipley currently serves as the Deputy Commander for U.S. Marine Corps Forces Pacific.

Kyle Dewar is a Technical Account Manager based out of California, Maryland supporting Tanium’s Public Sector customers in the Department of Defense, and Federal Civilian space.
Kyle joined the Marine Corps in 1989 and current serves in a senior leader billet with Marine Forces Reserve. Kyle’s federal experience includes multiple billets with the Office of the Secretary of Defense for Policy, the Joint Chief of Staff, and Headquarters Marine Corps where he held roles crafting policy, hosting innovation efforts, and developed strategy for integrating new technologies into Pentagon departments and agencies. Other roles included supporting Naval Air Systems Command, the Office of Naval Intelligence, and the Department of Transportation. Kyle’s commercial experience includes engineering and financial service organizations where he let service delivery teams, authored laboratory guides, and developed innovative solutions for software distribution. Kyle has more than thirty years of experience with technology supporting engineering, sales, and IT operations organizations.
