Welcome to the DOD Cloud Workshop!

Cloud has been a critical part of the Defense Department's digital transormation journey. In this session, we'll hear from the Pentagon's lead tech shop to understand the DOD's plans to put cloud to use in the boardroom and on the battlefield.

Your ERP systems are the lifeblood of your organization, but they are not the easiest to maintain or modernize. These systems can be difficult to modernize and maintain, and as a result often spin up manual processes outside of these systems. When faced with modernizing these important systems you must weigh the risk of lost functionality or changed user experience, and that can feel too daunting to move forward with modernization efforts. In this session you will learn how the ServiceNow Platform, low code application development, and generative AI can be leveraged in conjunction with your ERP systems to provide experiences that users will love, and processes that fulfill the needs of your mission.

The Pentagon's lead IT agency is integral to how the department communicates and stays networked. DISA's Acting Director Jeff Marshall will fill us in on the agency's computing plans and solutions for 2024 and beyond.

The Department of Defense is now competing for information dominance across networks while operating on land, sea, air, cyber, and space. Technology has created interdependent relationships between domains, so access or lack of access in one domain can have effects in others. For example, mission assurance across land, sea, and air demands reliable, resilient data access from the space and cyber domains. This session will explore how network-intelligent systems, data interoperability, and commercial failover mechanisms are critical for ensuring operators and decision-makers have access to the right data at the right time across the space and cyber domains, thus ensuring a reliable, resilient cyberspace for multidomain operations.

Cloud computing is a multibillion-dollar business in the federal government. Govini's Tara Murphy Dougherty will share insights on trends with DOD's IT investments, from cloud to cyber to AI, and what to expect in coming years.

The Pentagon is looking to invest more in advanced computing and software in the years ahead. We'll talk to Thomas Rondeau to learn more about cloud's role in the future of warfighting.
